QUESTION: how do I uninstall OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 and remove iTunes 12.2? I would like to go back to the previous versions, so I can actually be able to use my computer. Now I'm stuck with a barely functioning system. Had I known that this latest release of iTunes was going to be such a disaster, I would have refrained from installing it. Apple TV can't read artwork and info tags from the media files stored in my computer.THis is a complete mess that I will have to painstakingly fix manually. Media files: artwork and tag information has disappeared from random files in my media collection. ![]() iTunes 12.2 will randomly stutter on music playback for several minutes at a time, for apparent no reason.Any programs running at the same time slow down to a crawl, then they freeze. Multitasking is compromised: I can't run iTunes and another program at the same time, or both will freeze (I have 8 GB of memory, which should be plenty).More often than not, I have to force the machine to restart. Sometimes it takes 10 or 15 minutes to come back from that frozen state. iTunes 12.2 will randomly freeze, and also freeze any other programs you may have open at the same time (Chrome, Safari, etc).And my Mac is barely 3 years old, so this shouldn't be happening.Īmong some of the problems I have been experiencing in the last few days since the install: This has wreaked havoc on my computer, which was playing flawlessly before the software updates.
